The NMA Federal Credit Union offers the following Scholarships and Grants:

• NMA Federal Credit Union offers two $1000.00 scholarships to qualifying high school seniors preparing to go to college or full time college students.

• The John C. Barnes Sr. and Ward Green scholarships, $1000.00 each, are available by NMA Federal Credit Union to high school seniors graduating in 2006 and full time college students. Deadline for applications is April 22, 2006.

• Through NMA students in Norfolk and Virginia Beach may apply for The Jack E. O'Connor Memorial scholarship sponsored by the Tidewater Chapter of Credit Unions. This scholarship is available to high school seniors graduating. Several scholarships of $500.00 to $1000.00 are awarded each year.. Deadline for applications is April 30, 2006.

• Since NMA is a member of the Exchange Network, its member students may apply for this college grant program. 2006 Education Exchange $50,000.00 Grant Program is sponsored by Accel/Exchange. Graduating seniors could receive part of $50,000.00 in college grants through this program. Entry deadline is March 15, 2006.
  

NMA Member Qualifications: Residents of Norfolk and Virginia Beach are eligible o join the credit union. Minimum deposit on savings account is $5.00.
