SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
- The Scholarship Selection Committee will evaluate
applicants on
the basis of contributions to the Thalia community, their high school,
and the local community.
- The completed application must be accompanied by:
1) A letter of reference from a teacher or an appropriate faculty
member.
2) A letter of reference from an adult not related to the applicant.
3) An original essay entitled “Growing up and living in Thalia” (500 to
750 words)
- Direct any questions regarding this Thalia Civic
League
scholarship
to Dr. Jack Garrison 486-5161. However, inquiries shall not be
reason
for any delay in meeting the deadline of May 15, 2006.
- The winning applicant will be notified of the
Committee’s
decision
prior to the May 23, 2006 Civic League meeting. All applicants
are
asked to attend the meeting, which begins at 7:30pm. The
scholarship will be awarded at the meeting. A reception
will follow the meeting to honor all of the applicants for the
scholarship.
